Mission Statement
The mission of the IMS Regional Association for Latin America and the Caribbean (ARLAC) is to disseminate musicological research from Latin America and the Caribbean through publications, translations, and international conferences; enrich the activities of the IMS through contributions by the association’s members; and promote initiatives that can lead to a greater integration of perspectives from scholars in the region into communication networks of global reach. ARLAC was founded by Malena Kuss at the 19th IMS Congress in Rome, Italy, on July 3, 2012.
