Study Group “Shostakovich and His Epoch”

The IMS Study Group “Shostakovich and His Epoch” was founded as a forum for scholars from all over the world to collaborate and share current research and expertise on this still-controversial figure and his position in Soviet musical culture. The group is very active, presenting conferences and panels several times each year within Russia and former Soviet states, Europe, and beyond.
