All IMS members are invited to suggest names of IMS members to be considered by the Directorium for the nomination of the next IMS President-Elect (presidential term of office: 2027–32). Nominations will be collected online from 4 to 23 March 2025.

Each online proposal requires a link to a current CV and a short statement on why the person is suitable for the position. Consent must be sought from the person being proposed. Self-nominations are not allowed. All proposed names will be considered by the Directorium at a meeting which will take place at least eighteen months before the General Assembly at the next Quinquennial IMS Congress in Stavanger, Norway (August 2027). The Directorium then nominates up to three candidates for election (voting will take place in spring 2026).
