The IMS is seeking to appoint two editors for Musicological Brainfood. Begun by then president, Daniel K. L. Chua, in 2017, this platform is designed to provoke debate within and about the field(s) of music studies. Editors are expected to commission leading scholars (at all career stages) to write short texts or contributions in dynamic alternative formats. Disciplinary and linguistic diversity, as well as regional inclusivity are important, to reflect and pique the interests of the IMS membership.

The appointment will be for two years, from summer/fall 2025, with the expectation that the new editors will work alongside the managing and digital editor to publish four to six pieces for Musicological Brainfood online each year. Applicants are required to provide an up-to-date CV and a brief outline of their vision for their editorship. Joint applications from a pair of potential co-editors are most welcome.
